This cheesy, crunchy mess is practically a meal in itself. An air fryer is used for the fries and onions, the cheese is made from lentils, and the toppings are up to you. Here, I’ve used some sliced olives and jalapenos.
1 large russet potato, sliced into fries
1/2 cup sliced red onion
lentil- based cheese sauce
1 3 oz. can sliced black olives
sliced jalapeno rings
- If your air fryer has a rack, place it in the fryer basket. If not, line the bottom of the basket with a piece of parchment paper. Place the potatoes on the rack or the parchment paper, and the sliced onion on top of them.
- Cook for approximately 10 minutes on the highest setting. Open the air fryer, remove the onions, and flip and move around the fries to ensure they are browned on both sides.
- When the fries are done cooking, remove them, and top with the fried onions, olives, jalapeno slices, and any additional toppings.
